How to Hire
Our Hire Prices are inclusive of carriage and consultation with the Civil Aviation Authority (where necessary). To hire, simply contact us to discuss your exact needs and to check the availability of the type of unit you wish to hire. Read our terms of hire, complete your hire form and return it to us together with payment, by cheque, bacs or credit card. Your order will then be acknowledged confirming the delivery details.
Your equipment will generally arrive by freight carrier flight-cased for protection. Unpacking the flight cases is a simple task but requires 2 able-bodied people because of the weight involved. Both Searchlights and the Dancer range come with full instructions and because they are so easy to set up and operate yourself, we do not need to supply a specialist operator, therefore keeping costs to a minimum.
After your event, pack everything properly in its flight case and we will arrange for the carrier to return and collect it. The cost of carriage is included in the prices quoted. Failure to have the equipment available for the freight carrier to collect on the agreed day may result in additional charges as detailed in our terms of hire
SECURITY
Although quite hardy, the equipment should be treated with the utmost care as the responsibility for its well-being is yours. Any damage or loss will be charged for. Please read our Conditions of Hire (it won’t take long, there’s no small print). We recommend having the equipment added to your insurance policy for the duration of the hire period.
PERMISSION
For hire up to 28 days we understand that no formal planning permission is necessary for searchlights or the Dancer range without wording. We are unsure of the position if text is added to the SkyGuys, FunGuys and SkyTubes and recommend you check first with your planning authority, particularly if the hire is for longer than one day. For all searchlight hires, we consult with the Civil Aviation Authority on your behalf.
COST AND PAYMENT
See our separate price list for the hire rates for all our equipment. We charge for the dates the equipment is being used (we don’t include the transit time). You can hire for as little as one day, for up to one week (at less than twice the daily rate) or longer if required.
If booking less than 4 weeks in advance, full payment should accompany the signed Hire Agreement. If booking more than 4 weeks in advance a 25% deposit including VAT is required with a post-dated cheque (or credit card authorisation) for the balance dated 14 days before the commencement of the hire. Payment may be made by cash, cheque, bacs payment, Visa, Eurocard and Mastercard.
